- Which is the ideal field of study for the PwC Check-in programmes?
Usually people applying at PricewaterhouseCoopers hold degrees in the area of economics, business, management, accounting and tax. If you hold a different degree it is worth a try nevertheless!
- What should an application look like?
Simply fill out the application form. This way, you can be sure that all the important information is included. Naturally, a covering letter and tabular CV should be enclosed as well. Please mention which position you are interested in and which location you would prefer in your covering letter.
- Do different countries look for different skills?
No, in general, PwC is looking for team-oriented individuals with a strong sense of motivation and proven personal initiative. While some countries may emphasize specific requirements designed to help you fit more closely into the local teams, the basic skills and qualities that define the optimal candidate are broadly the same throughout the program: flexibility, intellectual capacity and a flair for communication. If you possess these skills and are eager to put them to use, we want you to consider working for us. In return, you'll gain experience you will value throughout your professional life.
- Is there a selection procedure and how can I prepare?
One of the major goals of PwC Check-In is to offer students a simplified application process. Please refer to the selection process for each option (trainee or graduate) Knowledge and a clear understanding of your personal goals will be the key aspects to be successful. But be prepared, as the available positions are limited!
- Is accommodation arranged for me?
No, you are responsible for finding your own accommodation, but the local HR department may help you settle down (giving you information on the real estate market etc.). You can find additional information on the Internet (dedicated websites, estate agencies, etc.)
Check-In for Interns
- Which is the ideal timeframe for an internship?
Most countries usually offer internships from October to March. Ideally, applications should be submitted 6 months before the internship.
- What salary can I expect?
You will receive the usual compensation given to trainees in each country. Additionally PwC will also cover the costs for travelling in and out.
Check-In for Graduates
- Does PricewaterhouseCoopers have a preferred starting date for graduates?
The starting date in the Assurance/Audit business is preferably in September/October. But as the dates vary in some countries, please check the country-specific site for details. The recruitment season for graduates basically starts in January and ends in May.
- What salary can I expect?
You will be subject to the standard local conditions.
